A series of work inspired by Symbolism, Surrealism and Abstract theories, involving ideas that art of the subconscious mind can be realised through the development of imagery with no preconceived idea. Early creation is spontaneous; once the patterns and motifs are found, the cloudy forms begin to gain clarity reflecting the emotional state and psyche. Meaning is therefore derived from the subconscious and channelled in an attempt to record a story with an enigmatic message from deep within. I call it the ‘crystal ball effect’.
